EN-RICH-MENT Receives Award from Ohio Education Association

The Ohio Education Association (OEA) held their 2025 Awards Luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Ballroom in Columbus Ohio on May 9, 2025. OEA presented six awards and three scholarships to honor the outstanding work of members and local affiliates who have made special contributions to the improvement of public education. EN-RICH-MENT was nominated by the Canton Professional Educators Association, and awarded with the OEA Glatt/Holloways Human and Civil Rights Award. OEA recognizes achievements in human relations and related intercultural activities that impact children, communities, the educational process, and/or the United Education Profession by presenting the OEA Glatt/Holloways — Human and Civil Rights Award.

Education Support Professional of the Year – Rhonda Ferguson, Akron Classified

Friend of Education – Ohio Lottery Commission – Partners in Education Program

Media Award for Public Service – Ohio Capital Journal

Blue Ribbon Association Award – South-Western Education Association

Jean Kershaw Scholarship – Alice Somers, OEA-AE University of Cincinnati

John F. Kennedy Scholarship – LeShun “Ship” Collins, Orange Teachers Association

Glatt/Holloways Human and Civil Rights Award – EN-RICH-MENT Arts Education Center and Carmen Pinter, Columbus Education Association

Marilyn Cross Scholarship – Eugene Mach, Warren Education Association – Trumbull

Doris L. Allen Human and Civil Rights Award – LeShun “Ship” Collins, Orange Teachers Association

Ms Betty is honored to receive the award, and grateful that EN-RICH-MENT has been recognized for its commitment to education and the Stark County youth.
